Art Ovation Hotel, Autograph Collection

Tzeva, the lobby restaurant, was wonderful, and having rental cars right at the hotel was both convenient and unusual, especially with one-way airport trips available. The place itself feels welcoming, cool, and distinctive. Adam, Jay, and the rest of the valet crew made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. I can't wait to return and rent the Lamborghini!

We had such a great weekend here for my husband's birthday, coming over from the east coast. I mentioned the occasion in the reservation and the staff really ran with it: cupcakes in the room, and every staff member wished him a happy birthday whenever they saw him. They made the whole weekend feel extra special. The hotel is beautifully decorated, with live music in the lobby on weekends, art demos, and a rooftop bar. There are lots of shops, restaurants, and the theater within walking distance. And what a lovely group of valet guys. Big thanks to the staff!

The dusty rooms caused us to feel congested every night, and there were stains on the furniture. Once we left, the congestion went away. I also booked a city view, but our window faced the roof and electrical areas instead. Maybe it was because it was a busy weekend. Service was outstanding: the lobby was exquisite, check-in was seamless, and the front desk was friendly and accommodating to our toddler. The mustached valet was especially friendly and went above and beyond. The valet team was great, and the bar served good wine. In my opinion, it's a good hotel choice for Sarasota.

Great spot downtown Sarasota. My only complaint is that no one told us about the rooftop pool bar and the parties there. It's a nice pool and bar, but if you're traveling with family, ask for a lower floor.
