The room never really cooled down. The AC was on the far wall by the closet, as far from the bed as it could be, so we left it running while we went to eat and hoped it would be cooler when we returned. I liked the 3:00 pm check-in and 11:00 am checkout, since many places do 4:00 pm and 10:00 am. And, surprisingly, there weren’t any bugs in my room. That isn’t something you usually praise a hotel for. We got a physical key, but it only locked the handle, not the deadbolt. The lock mechanism was loose and looked like it had been kicked in before. Nothing happened, but I didn’t feel safe. I also wouldn’t have stayed if I’d known they offered weekly rates. The front desk woman was rude and looked miserable. Rules were posted all over the plastic barrier between guests and the desk. The big one said to call five minutes before checkout so someone could inspect the room, but there wasn’t a phone in the room. Thankfully, the morning desk person, who I think was the owner, was nice and told me not to worry about it. They charged my card for the full amount before I arrived, which seemed strange to me since that had never happened before.

The late-night car bass in the parking lot and construction buzzing from 5 am until we got up around 9 made it hard to sleep. Toiletries were sparse, and the room still had old, rickety furniture and broken blinds while they work on renovations. There were no curtains. It’s an efficiency, so some people live there too. They’re making progress, but the rooms aren’t all renovated yet. You get what you pay for. If you want a fancy night in a semi-luxe room, this isn’t the place.

I’m ashamed to give this place even one star. There was blood on the bathroom door, a hole in it, and a smell like decaying wood. No-see-ems were everywhere. The sheets had burns and stains, and the mattress had holes and burn marks right through it. Service was horrible. The bathroom outlet had no cover, exposing rusty insides that seemed extremely hazardous. They replaced the old TV with a newer flat screen, but wouldn’t let me take the old one out. I took pictures of this awful place because the listing photos are false advertising in the highest degree. If you love your kids, you’d never consider staying here.

Worst motel stay I’ve ever had. My girl and I were in the room for only three hours before waking up covered in bed bug bites, with visible bugs. At the front desk, the man was asleep and offered no other room, mattress, or solution. I got no help from the manager the next day either. The manager had told me they found one bed bug, but when I spoke to the owner shortly afterward, she said they’d found none. They’re liars and run a horrible business. Be warned, don’t go unless you like bugs!

I stayed six nights, but my debit card was charged for seven. Wells Fargo told me two other charges hadn’t posted yet. Family Inn said they hadn’t charged me for an extra night, but my online account showed that they had, so I filed an investigation claim with Wells Fargo hoping to get the money back. I’ve stayed there before. In two different rooms, the smoke detector had been removed, and one lamp had its plug cut off. Gnats swarmed my room. Instead of moving me, they came in and sprayed insect repellent. This motel is awful and dishonest. Stay away, it isn’t worth saving on the price.
