voco Sarasota by IHG

Tiffany made our quick Sarasota trip for some sunshine comfortable from the moment we arrived. She shared great local recommendations and arranged shuttle rides to and from nearby beaches and restaurants. Beach towels and chairs were provided, and our room was large and spacious. We could walk to good local coffee shops, restaurants, and shops. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to come back. The whole staff was wonderful, especially the shuttle drivers, who knew so much about the area and its history. I can't say enough about how welcoming and helpful the service was.

The hotel was lovely, with beautiful rooms that seem to have been updated recently, a nice touch. The staff were so nice, and the location is walkable to shops and restaurants. The gym was the one letdown. It was tiny, with two large bathrooms inside. If the bathrooms and the bike were removed, there'd be more room for floor exercises.

The heated pool was great for a night swim, and the rooms, hallways, and common areas were clean. Sarasota itself is wonderful, but staying at Voco was the key to a great family vacation. We usually choose Airbnb, but we loved this place and I highly recommend it. We used the hotel shuttle quite a bit to explore. Barry, Rich, and the other driver whose name I unfortunately forgot were fantastic. They had great stories, suggestions for places to eat and drink, and were great conversationalists. Tiffany and everyone at the front desk were personable, patient, professional, and easy to approach with questions. They were generous with tips for seeing as much as we could. Their kindness and help made this the best hotel experience I've ever had. We came for a few days before Thanksgiving and had the best time.

Julie at the front desk was amazing when we arrived, around 3 p.m. on 11/24. I had only been at the hotel for a couple of hours when I felt I had to leave this review. She was warm, energetic, and thoughtful. Seeing that I was traveling with two kids, she greeted us with real kindness, which made me feel understood during a tiring trip. Whenever I needed something, she responded quickly and positively. Huge thanks to Julie for making our arrival so lovely!
