I’d had a long day, with two hours of snow and awful traffic, and just wanted to sit down and watch TV. The front desk attendant was nice, but it took over an hour and three rooms before I had a working TV. The first room, on the first floor, had a broken set. The room upstairs had one too, and so did the last room. By 8pm I was exhausted and decided to watch something on my phone. I hadn’t even taken my coat off or sat down yet. The room was filthy. The floor was dirty, the desktop was sticky, the blanket cover was soiled, and the chair cover was dirty enough that I wouldn’t sit on it. I don’t think the rooms have been cleaned in a very long time. I would’ve left if I hadn’t been so tired, but I slept in my clothes. When I tried to shower, there was hair on the walls and in the drain. Even the wrapped plastic cups in the bathroom were scratched and had a film on them. Awful, just awful.

The staff were okay, the coffee was excellent, and the muffins with some spray butter made a decent breakfast for a man at rock bottom. Walmart was within walking distance and wonderful, since I could make my own meals. Still, I found cockroaches in my room. While I was standing in the bathroom, two went into the wall. I’d like a refund for the last few days, but whatever. One night the hotel ran out of toilet paper, so I had to go to that Walmart just to use the facilities. Maid service stopped after my 14th day, and I would’ve liked fresh towels without having to wash them with my laundry. Also, I’m pretty sure someone, or maybe a large bear, urinated on the stairs more than once, which caused my dog to have accidents.

Jerome at the front desk is the reason this is my favorite place for an extended stay. He’s consistently calm and positive, friendly with every guest, and really professional. They have some other great people on staff too, and Jerome takes the whole experience to another level.

The mattress had huge stains from I don’t know what, and I was disgusted when I asked for sheets and towels so I could change them. I also requested room cleaning several times and was ignored. The room wasn’t very clean to begin with. For the kitchen, they gave me one dish, one bowl, one fork, and two spoons. The phone never worked during the month I stayed. Calling coffee and a small packaged muffin continental breakfast is a stretch. I even had to walk all the way to the end of the parking lot to throw out my trash. I’m very disappointed. Absolutely disgusting, and I’ll never stay here again. I’ll tell future travelers too. Room 109. Ronald DeLucia.
