Great staff, and a perfect location for visiting the local wineries. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, with a beautiful mountain view. Highly recommend!

We chose this cute, private cabin for a night because my husband loves nature, and it was easy to find. It had a private porch with chairs, a bathroom, kitchenette, living area, and bedroom. There was also parking for one car and wifi, which was great since we had no cell reception. The problems came after we got settled. There were pistachio shells all over the ground by the driveway, obviously left by a previous guest, which was gross to step out into. Then, while we were sound asleep after an event, the fire alarm blared at 5:30 AM. We woke up panicked, looking for smoke or fire. No appliances were on or had been used, the ceiling fan was running, and there seemed to be no reason for the alarm. It stopped after a few minutes while I was looking for the after-hours emergency number, but I couldn’t sleep after that. We told the staff by phone at checkout, and all they said was they’d tell maintenance. No other effort was made to make it right, which was disappointing. We won’t stay here again, though we would have if the staff had shown more compassion after hearing what happened.

The room was beautiful, quiet, and easy to check into, and the bed was comfortable. I’d highly recommend it. My only real complaint is the pillows. They look lovely on the bed, but all of them were too hard and full to sleep on, so there were no softer options.

The huge shared space with floor-to-ceiling windows and a mountain view was even better than our already huge, perfect room. Arriving at Sylvan Valley Lodge at dusk and seeing all the lights was breathtaking. The property is gorgeous, and the staff greeted us warmly. We’d already decided to return because of the amenities, then we went into the gift shop. It has lots of unique finds, and Brandi, the property manager, was there. She’s warm and kind, genuinely interested in guests, and made sure our stay was perfect. I was really impressed with how she manages the property and handles customer service. I can’t recommend Sylvan Valley highly enough. Go see for yourself!
