Breakfast was a highlight for us: egg souffle, fresh fruit and juice, coffee that kept coming, and peach biscuits that were light and fluffy. We also loved the afternoon treats, especially the fresh coconut macaroons, and there was a huge choice of tea. Deny and Rebecca made us feel at home and were quick to help with anything. We stayed in the Georgia Peach room for a night, after taking a chance on a return trip through the area and finding a room available. We’d first noticed the Sautee Inn while driving toward Charleston after leaving Helen. The screened porch had games, puzzles, nature books, and free Blue Bell ice cream, and we enjoyed browsing the library and its historic photos. There was free wi-fi and a mountain view from our balcony. Around the area, there are lots of trails, plus plenty of shopping in Helen. Leave at least two nights if you can, and take a look at the Sautee Olde Store and the Folk Pottery Museum. We hope to come back soon.

Rebecca and Denny were so welcoming and made sure we had a good stay. They even helped us choose waterfalls to visit. We loved the breakfasts and the desserts they served every night, too. We’d be happy to stay at the Sautee Inn again.

The mountain views were beautiful, and the hospitality really came through. After the ice storm on 1/24/26 left us without power or heat for two days, I called the office at 6:00am, freezing. Dennie, who was incredibly kind, found us a reservation. We had a lovely stay and also met the owner, Rebeca. They saved the day. Thank you so much.

We spent most of our Oktoberfest weekend away from Helen since it was so busy there. Before heading to Sautee, we stopped at Jumping Goat Coffee in Cleveland, then had lunch at Yonah mountain winery. At the Sautee Country store, a friendly gentleman told us about its history. Rebecca welcomed us when we arrived, and our room was very comfortable. The best part of the bed and breakfast, though, was relaxing on the back porch and chatting with other guests. Breakfast was delicious, hot, and ready right on time at 9am. We’d come back.

The inn was dressed up for Christmas, with a tree in every room, and made for a lovely start to the holiday season. Rebecca, the owner, and Deny, the Inn Keeper, were both really friendly and welcoming. We had an excellent breakfast, with generous portions, and a fantastic stay at the Sautée Inn Bed and Breakfast.
