I often come here for Sunday brunch, and it’s a lovely place to linger. The atmosphere is artsy and charming, and each dining room has its own vibe. When it’s just me or I’m with a friend in lazy Sunday mode, I like sitting at the bar. The food is great and the service is usually very good. I’d happily bring family or guests I want to impress for a nice meal.

The rooms are fun to wander through, with beautiful decor and plenty of character. Cohen's Retreat has a quirky feel but still comes across as classy. I always enjoy stopping in, whether for a delicious meal or a bit of shopping. It never lets me down.

It took me far too long to come back for a second visit. The staff were delightful, and the food was spectacular, especially the lima beans, collards, and fried chicken. These are old Southern recipes you won't find elsewhere. For me, it's the best Southern food in Savannah, and a must-visit.

Friday's visit wasn't as good as the times I used to come for Music and Munchies Thursdays. The service fell short and the food was just okay, though I still like the atmosphere. I've had plenty of good visits here before, so I'd give it another try.

We booked a table for NYE two weeks ahead, but the kitchen was closing in ten minutes and nobody had warned us. The online reservation system had apparently been left on by mistake. Our waitress told us to “make it quick,” and several staff members were cold when I tried to say hello. We were made to feel like an inconvenience over a problem the restaurant could have handled in many ways, including letting us know beforehand. We won't return, and I can't recommend it. I hope others are treated with more respect.
