The Foley House was a lovely addition to our Savannah trips. We've visited many times and stayed at a different B&B each time, always enjoying them. This time the staff were kind and welcoming, and the clean house and room had everything we needed. The comfortable bed came with the bonus of a courtyard sitting area. Right in the heart of downtown at Chippewa Square, everything was within walking distance. Breakfast was fantastic and well-rounded, thanks to the kitchen crew, and the fresh-baked afternoon cookies were a nice extra. Thanks for a wonderful getaway and for having us.

Dedee was the person who made the stay especially memorable. She cooked the breakfast, chatted with us each morning, answered our questions, and even went back to the kitchen to find out how a dish was made. Her spinach croissants were my favorite. Everyone we met on staff was warm and enthusiastic about the inn, its food, decor, and Savannah. We stayed in mid-September 2025 during a five-day Savannah trip. The location worked perfectly for the sights we wanted to see, and walking through the beautiful gardens each time we came and went was a treat. I have limited mobility, so I called ahead about a room with easy access. We were told it was on the garden level, and it seemed suitable. A mechanical issue in the room couldn't be fully repaired during our stay, but it was made safe and usable. The inn offered an upgrade, though I couldn't manage those stairs every day. I went up once, and the view was spectacular. If stairs are easy for you, that room is worth considering. People in Savannah kept asking if we'd known Foley House was haunted. We heard the stories and did a few ghost tours, but neither of us saw or experienced anything unusual. I brought an EMF detector and light-up cat toys just in case, though they only lit up when my husband accidentally kicked them. I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat, after all. We had a wonderful stay at a quiet hotel, and the price felt reasonable for the location, service, and atmosphere. I'd highly recommend Foley House.

Our balcony looked out over the park and the historic buildings around it, which we really enjoyed. The rooms are elegantly furnished, and staying here gave us the feeling of stepping back into another era and living well. We had a lovely time.

Room 303 is beautiful, clean, and roomy, with a little patio beside the back stairs. The story goes that a body was found in the wall during renovations, right below that room. We had a spooky night there, though breakfast the next morning was lovely, and I'd try staying again. At about 3 a.m., we were woken more than once by quick tapping on the floor between the bed and bathroom. It came and went, and sounded a bit like fast dripping water or a creaking door. My girlfriend and I both had sleep paralysis and dreams set in Foley House, with crowds of random people around us. In her dream, a man in a black suit and hat, with what looked like ashes or black smears on his face, seemed to float or slide quickly around the room. I dreamed I was trying to wash black dye or ink off my head and face, with it dripping into the sink, when a woman in a huge pink Victorian party dress and white wig rushed in, sliding around and laughing. After we compared notes, I recorded some audio on my phone. It sounded like a man groaning in pain, followed by a raspy voice saying something I couldn't make out. We also heard footsteps coming down the hall that sounded like shoes on hardwood, even though the hallway is carpeted. We checked in the morning and couldn't see how walking there could make that sound. There was also knocking from above us that we couldn't explain.

We were able to walk to everything in the historic district, while staying away from the noise of the riverfront. It was our first Savannah visit, and Foley House was a perfect base. The staff were friendly and accommodating, our room was beautiful, and breakfast had omelets, bacon, muffins, and pastries. We also loved spending time in the welcoming sitting rooms. The decor was enchanting, especially the mantel over the downstairs fireplace. We'd absolutely come back.
