Holiday Inn Express Savannah Airport by IHG

We checked out this morning after a great night here. They let us check in early, which was a big help, and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable for all five of us. Breakfast was the best part, with lots of different options. Crista, who was working this morning, was very friendly and helpful, and even came by to clear our plates. The airport is less than a three-minute drive away. I highly recommend it.

Nice, safe place about nine minutes from the airport. The front desk and housekeeping were very nice, and everyone said hello as they passed. There were a few extra touches in the tidying, though the body wash was empty. Things happen. Breakfast was delicious and kept clean and well stocked, and the attendant was really friendly. I’d recommend it.

Brown smears in the shower were disgusting to find. The front desk told me they were glue from a recent renovation, were present in several spots around the hotel, wouldn’t come off, and I’d just have to live with it. I tried a damp towel and, with some scrubbing, the marks started to lift. Even if it was glue, it wouldn’t have taken much effort to clean. I later found more stains on the carpet. The room was gross, and staff didn’t seem to care. Don’t book until they clean up the rooms.

This was about halfway to Florida, so I booked an overnight stay and was told the hotel had just opened. Everything was clean and up to date, and staff I met were all helpful, friendly and cordial. My room had clearly been put together with extra care, and the 55-inch flat screen made a difference. I also like that Holiday Inn Express & Suites places I’ve stayed at have a Bean-to-Coffee machine and hot breakfast. It’ll be my regular halfway stop to Florida. The new bed had, of course, had nobody sleep in it yet, so complaints about that may take a while.
