Staybridge Suites Savannah Historic District by IHG

We were on the ground floor facing the street, so there was some street noise, but we enjoyed watching people go by. The room worked well for four women, though it felt a bit cramped, and the kitchen area was decent. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was a little better than the usual free spread. The lobby was cozy and a nice place to hang out. Fantastic location, very close to the riverfront.

We have a four-month-old, and everyone went out of their way to interact with her and make us comfortable traveling with a baby. The front desk ladies were so sweet, always greeting us and answering questions helpfully. Ricky from food and beverage was wonderful too, and made the stay feel extra special. The hotel is right in historic downtown beside shops and cafes, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location. The staff were the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. If we come back to Savannah, we’re staying here again.

I’ve been coming here for years, and the staff were as awesome and helpful as ever. We had one small room issue, and they jumped right on it. I celebrated my 67th birthday in Savannah with five rooms booked for family, and they made the stay special. I called twice and left my name and number so someone could pass my compliments to the manager, but nobody responded. Then I got a generic email from Leslie Garner General Manager about how they valued my stay. I replied to that address and still heard nothing. The staff deserve credit, and I wish I’d been able to thank someone in management for the great job they do.

Parking took a little figuring out because the lot behind the building fills fast, but there’s overflow space in the garage for $25 a night. The hotel is close to what you need along the Riverwalk and downtown, about a 7-10 minute walk to downtown, with the Riverwalk across the street. From the moment I arrived November 27, I was greeted with a smile and a friendly hello, and that welcoming vibe lasted through my November 30 checkout. The employees were professional and seemed to enjoy working there. My room was immaculate, the bed and pillows were clean and comfortable, and the small kitchenette came in handy. Breakfast was a proper buffet, with eggs, sausage, oatmeal, grits, muffins, waffles, and more, not a cheap continental spread. I’ll definitely stay here again.
