Thunderbird Motel

I booked through Expedia because the listing used the Thunderbird Inn name. When we got there, they said they hadn’t realized we had a reservation and had given our room to someone else. They sent us across the street to another motel they own, the Deluxe Inn. It was honestly the worst motel I’ve ever set foot in, disgusting and unsafe. We left almost immediately.

The room smelled awful and was dirty, with a filthy floor, trash and dirty tampons behind the toilet, and a bottle of vagisil left in the shower. Duct tape was stuck to the floors. There weren’t proper curtains, just a blanket hung up. Worst of all, the door wouldn’t shut and lock properly. I asked the front desk for another room and was told, “no one will go in there.” I left and had to find another hotel. The whole place felt unsettling, dark energy, bad vibes.

I ended up leaving and staying somewhere else, and they still refused to refund me. The place was filthy, the rooms didn’t match their descriptions, and it was advertised online under the name of a different site in town. The curtains were pockmarked and taped together, the bedding wasn’t clean, and wall sockets were burnt or pulled open by previous guests. It was an atrocious environment that didn’t match the advertising. The first room they gave me belonged to someone else and still had all their belongings inside. The second was nearly the opposite of what the ad showed. I pulled up the booking page for staff, who moved me to a third room that hadn’t been cleaned: towels were hanging up to dry, the bed had recently been used, and clothing was on the floor. By the fourth room, I gave up and said I couldn’t stay there. Unbelievable.

Trash!!! The room was disgusting and hadn’t even been cleaned. I went to the front desk, and the guy said, “oh they must have forgot to clean it.” 0/10, do not recommend 🤣
