The Angler Inn

The room was clean, but the bed was the squeakiest one I’ve ever slept on, and I didn’t think the price was worth it. The bigger problem was communication. Front desk hours are terrible, and they don’t respond to questions. If you’re fine with not hearing back and can’t call before the desk closes at 2, it’ll do if you just need somewhere to sleep.

Breakfast was great, with a nice range of choices, and there’s a restaurant in the Inn for dinner too. The menu is simple, but has good options. I stayed one night at The Angler Inn and really enjoyed it. Our room felt clean and comfortable, with a recently remodeled bathroom that looked great. It also had a T.V., microwave, and mini fridge. I’d definitely stay at Angler Inn again.

The room was clean and nicely furnished, but service was a real problem. At 2pm the front door was locked, so we walked around looking for an unlocked entrance, which felt uncomfortable. Nobody was at the front desk to check us in, and we eventually had to find our room ourselves. In the morning, one person seemed to be handling both the restaurant and the desk. She wasn’t very nice or helpful. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, and I won’t be back.

The location is beautiful and the rooms were fine, but the service was seriously lacking. Check-in dragged on because nobody was at reception, and dining was pretty horrible. A snowstorm didn’t help, but snow is part of being in this location. It feels like the place could make much more of its opportunities, bring in new customers, and give guests a reason to return. I won’t be one of them.
