The quiet was a big part of what made the weekend so relaxing. Every so often you hear a train go by, and Deven was attentive to our needs and requests. Breakfast came with the stay, and kids and pets are allowed. Yagna Inn has a rustic look that suits the setting. From the main road, the wooded, green surroundings feel like a different world, with a river on one side and a mountain on the other. One way in crosses a covered bridge, which was pretty cool. We also spent time around Rockingham, a small town with plenty to see: farms, flea markets, Buttermilk Falls nearby, Bellows Falls, the Vermont Country Store, and the Meeting Room where people used to gather for meetings long ago. Bellows Falls doesn't actually have a waterfall. We visited over the 4th of July weekend and had a very restful trip. We'll come back in the fall to see the leaves change.
