Do not stay here. I woke up during a business trip to find a roach crawling on my foot in bed, so I checked out right away. The front desk said they’d never heard of that happening and offered to move me, but I declined because I felt that if one room had roaches, they all might. I left immediately, and they refused to refund me. I do not recommend this place.

Breakfast was good, with bagels, hot and cold cereal, apples, yogurt, and waffles. When I asked staff for something, like more toilet paper since there was only about a quarter roll, they did help. But the room and hallway smelled strange, and the cleaning was poor. There were paint chips in the toilet paper holder, cobwebs behind the bathroom door with a spider in them, and dead bugs and dust inside the cheap removable covers over the lights above the beds. A moth flew out of a light fixture while I was sitting on the bed. The old pillows were awful, and one mattress was stained and exposed because the fitted sheet didn’t fit. I stopped checking because I would have left. It’s a shame, since we’d return if it were clean, but we won’t. The price is reasonable for a reason, I think the cleaning staff may be nonexistent. There are other hotels in the area, so I do not recommend staying here.

I needed to stop driving and get some sleep and a bath, but the non-smoking room smelled strongly of smoke, including the sheets. It seemed like people were smoking in rooms or the hall. I managed a little sleep, then found there was no hot water, and the tub drain wouldn’t stay closed. I tried holding it with my foot, but the water never got past lukewarm or even an inch deep. I stayed five hours, annoyed I’d chosen this place. Just, ewww.

For this area, the hotel was decent, and our room had a sofa, small dining table, microwave, and fridge. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner, since the soap was very limited. Breakfast wasn’t great, and the coffee hadn’t been made overnight. The bigger issue was the bedding: I pulled back the sheets and found bedding from the previous guests underneath, pillowcases included. Kimberly gets some sympathy from me because they don’t seem to have many people coming to work there, and I doubt there are many people in the area looking for hotel jobs.
