The house has so much history and charm, and our room was clean and well cared for. It was also in a perfect spot for our event in Reading PA. Breakfast was filling and nutritious, and the hostess even sent us off with fresh bakery items for later. She was so kind, too. After we left, she noticed we'd forgotten something and mailed it back to us at no cost. We can't wait to return.

There were several places to sit, a little fridge, and a comfortable king room with its own full bath. The rate was great, and breakfast and treats were included along with whatever else we might need. We loved the charm of the old house and had a great host. Just keep in mind that the rooms are upstairs and you have to use the stairs. We'd happily stay again.

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend, and a little parade went by our window. Such a lovely surprise. The room had homemade snacks for us, plus some to take along for the drive home. This place is welcoming and comfortable, with thoughtful little touches that make it feel like more than an average B & B. We had an absolute delight of a stay and will definitely come back. Thanks so much!

There are three rooms, two with queen beds and one with a king, plus a nice outdoor area to hang out. The owners are a veterinarian and his German wife. We had a great stay, with hospitality that's second to none, and they can accommodate just about any breakfast request. We'll definitely return, even if it's only for a visit.

We were sorry we couldn't stay longer. The host arranged a visit to the fire station so we could take a picture beside a Schoeneck fire truck. My Father-in-law was elated because Schoeneck is our last name. At breakfast, she invited a Schoeneck native to join us, and we lingered over a delicious, hearty meal while learning more about the town from this wonderful resident. The two ladies have become dear friends to us. Our host also shared the history of Schoeneck, including that its name comes from a beautiful corner where it was built, not from Schoenecks settling there. That's what Schoeneck means in German. An awesome get-away, highly recommended!
