Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ann Arbor West by IHG

The room was great, and I liked the location too. Asking the front desk about nearby restaurants was another story. She said she wasn’t a tour guide, only worked there, and didn’t get paid enough to give her opinion. I thanked her, and she then said she was talking to her baby daddy, which was more important than telling me where to eat.

Billy made check-in super easy and was friendly and fun. The room was clean, smelled clean, and had a fresh bathroom. There was coffee made with real beans instead of that crushed stuff, plus water with limes and lemons. I didn’t check out the pool or workout room this time, but everything else felt like a breath of fresh air. Good hotels are hard to find, and I’m impressed. I’ll be back. Tell Billy he’s a great employee, and I’d like to see him again!

We were there for a wedding, and Billy at the front desk already knew all the details without having to look them up. When my elderly father was struggling to tie his tie, he called to ask for one of his kids’ room numbers. Billy couldn’t give out room numbers, so he went to my father’s room and tied the tie for him. Thanks, Billy!

The front desk lady was as nice as could be, but I’ll never stay here again. The first room was a conjoined room, and the people next door were partying. They moved us to another conjoined room, where we found a blanket with a huge pee stain on the comforter. We got moved again, and that room was fine.
