The Inn At Scituate Harbor

The room was spotlessly clean and the beds were perfectly comfortable, even though this is an older inn that used to be called "The Clipper Ship." I grew up in Scituate and came back for a funeral, and they were so kind that they even offered me a discount given my circumstances. The ocean view over the old pier I walked as a child, with the lighthouse in sight, brought back a lot of emotion. I was sad about losing one of Scituate's most beautiful ladies, and being able to look over the old harbor, visit TK's and Sams, and relax close to the wake and funeral made a big difference. Some of the old Scituate girls are "salty", and I like'm that way! If you expect a perfectly updated five star place, you might be disappointed. I was amazed. Thanks for a memorable stay.

The harbor views were pretty, but the room setup wasn't ideal for nearly $450 a night, and the barebones hotel felt very overpriced. They seem to benefit from being the only option in town, but I wouldn't stay again. Edit: the owner's comment on this review was really strange.

The rooms were clean, but extremely basic and sterile, and I didn't think the price was justified. Summer on the Cape is never cheap, but this place was no exception. Also, you absolutely can't leave luggage before check-in or after your stay. I was booked here for meetings and wouldn't choose it myself. When I first arrived, the front desk person was about as welcoming as a guard dog when I asked if I could store my bags for the day. The two other people at the desk later were much nicer, especially the one there for my 4 AM departure.

The pool was clean, pleasant, and not very busy, and my room was a good temperature with a half decent view. I stayed in July 2024, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was okay if you just wanted something basic, with small cereal boxes available. The area across the road was nice too if you wanted something bigger, and the complimentary hot drinks at reception were a nice touch. Overall, a nice stay.
