My brother arrived to find dirt, hair, and cockroaches in the room he’d paid for. When he raised it with the manager and receptionist, they handled it very unprofessionally, then denied him a refund and wouldn’t give him a written policy letter. I’ve seen other reviews mentioning safety and health concerns too. This was one of the worst hotel experiences my brother has had. They took his money without providing a safe, clean room, so we can’t recommend booking here.

The room was clean, small, and handy for our needs, and it’s clear they’ve made a lot of updates. For the price, having a fridge and microwave was a nice surprise. Just keep in mind the train tracks are very active, so it wasn’t quiet. The owner’s wife checked us in and asked for $5 cash. I said I didn’t carry cash, but she kept pushing even though my card had already been charged. She said I could pay the next day, but the next day never came, lol.

For $55 with tax, I’d stay here again. The location was good, it was quiet, and the room smelled clean. It’s an older place, but the rooms were nice and partly updated. My car felt safe too.
