Aloft Scottsdale

The beds were great and the room was comfortable, but we won’t be back. We had the worst night’s sleep we’ve ever had in a hotel, with hardly any sleep for two nights and a whole day needed to recover. The hotel is right next to a nightclub that blasts techno music until 2am. I should have looked into that before booking, I guess, but didn’t think getting a decent night’s sleep at a $250-a-night hotel would take research. The noise was insanely loud, and nothing helped. The staff were okay, but they also failed to deliver the Valentine’s Day gift I’d ordered for my partner. That was disappointing.

The location is good and the room was spacious, though it could use some more amenities. I stayed here twice within a couple of weeks. Breakfast and coffee, along with the bar service, were well below average. The stay was decent overall, but a little below average for an aloft. And why does this hotel charge for parking? It feels like a cash grab.

Ty at the WXYZ restaurant made our stay feel personal with her kindness, warm manner, and local suggestions. We followed her recommendation and went to Camelback Mountain. Check-in was also handled so well by the associate and the gentleman in training: both were polite, efficient, welcoming, and professional. Their hospitality made our Jan 4th and 5th stay at the Aloft Scottsdale exceed expectations. It’s refreshing when staff make travel feel this enjoyable.

I was very happy with my visit and hope to come back soon. Earlier this week, I hosted a business meeting at the hotel and came away impressed by the staff, facilities, and amenities. The location is ideal for exploring the area. The hotel’s coffee, cocktails, and community theme carries through its design, making it an inviting place to meet. The second floor is where the socializing and events happen, and there’s also a nice meeting room on the fifth floor. A small outdoor pool is available. The rooms are attractive, roomy, and comfortable.
