Comfort Suites Scottsdale Talking Stick Entertainment District

We stayed for two weeks. The location is handy for lots of tourist attractions, though Pop Stroke next door is annoying. The front desk and breakfast staff were incredibly nice, and breakfast was decent, about what you’d expect from a complimentary hotel breakfast. Cleanliness needs work. The floor didn’t look properly vacuumed when we arrived, and during our stay housekeeping didn’t vacuum it when they should have. The bed sheets weren’t changed much either. They say sheets are replaced every three days, but I’m not convinced: I marked one, and they just made the bed.

Kaitlyn and the team at Comfort Suites Scottsdale gave me a level of care I’m deeply grateful for. I was traveling alone and had a very unsettling situation while out in Phoenix, completely unrelated to this hotel. Kaitlyn stayed calm, compassionate, grounded, and professional while I was having a complete emotional meltdown. She even walked through my room with me so I could feel safe and comfortable. She was balancing check-ins, deep cleaning, and the front desk, yet still made me feel like her top priority. She offered me a room right next to the front desk so I’d feel more secure. That kind of thoughtfulness and humanity is rare. She was a God-sent, and she deserves recognition and honestly an immediate raise. Hotels become a home away from home, and as a woman traveling on my own I can confidently give this hotel five stars. The atmosphere feels warm, personal, respectful, nonjudgmental, non bias, and held to a genuinely high standard of care. Comfort Suites is a wonderful place to stay. Ladies, this is where you want to stay!

The bed was comfortable, but the rest of the stay was terrible. The first room smelled of mold, and the shower was filthy, like a locker room stall. Someone had left the window open, presumably to help with the odor. The second room had a gouge in the wall, torn carpet, and a dirty tub. My travel plans changed for reasons beyond my control, so I checked out after the first night. They still charged me for the second night. I’ve never had a hotel charge me for leaving early. I wasn’t expecting even a three star experience, but this was horrible. For a similar price, stay at the Staybridge next door. It’s a much better facility and stay.

We slept well and enjoyed the community. The room and fitness center both had plenty of towels. Check-in was smooth, and our room was ready when we arrived. Everyone greeted us with a smile and made the place feel welcoming. Thanks to the whole team, keep up the good work.
