The slow, open-to-everyone Wi-Fi was my biggest complaint. There's no option to pay for faster service, and while it works, pages load slowly. I'd worry about lag on Zoom calls or other work. I'm usually a Hilton guest, and their Wi-Fi is often fast, so good Wi-Fi is possible. Housekeeping was slow too: I left at 9 am and was back at 3 pm, but no one had come by. I asked the front desk and hoped they'd visit today. Parking is paid, even though this is a suburban area. The setting is more suburban strip mall than somewhere walkable with interesting places nearby. Much of Phoenix seems that way, though, and the area felt reasonably safe. It's a fine, comfortable place to stay, but at this price I'd choose somewhere else for a more exciting hotel or location. There are some good points. The pool is clean, with a comfortable outdoor seating area. My room was clean and comfortable when I arrived, and the bed was genuinely comfortable. The restaurant isn't especially exciting, but the food is decent. I had nice French toast for breakfast. Staff were friendly. Walgreens and Starbucks are around the corner. It's fairly close to downtown Phoenix, about a nine-minute drive to the Botanical Garden and around 20 minutes to other attractions.

For the location, this is a great value, and the staff are great too. The hotel seems to be near the end of its last Marriott upgrade. The bathrooms have a bit of a hospital-room feel, and the TV service seems to be standard definition throughout.

The whole place feels new and clean, and the mattress was comfortable. Our corner room, #517, had great mountain views. It's less than a mile from Old Town Scottsdale, and the staff were great. For the price, I'd give it five out of five stars. Special thanks to America at front desk check-in and to Jessica (GM), who was very nice and professional.

The AC in the room was so loud that whenever it switched on, we both jolted awake. Turning it off made the room too hot. People come here to relax and get some time off, but this isn't a good hotel for light sleepers. It's also beside a very busy street, and we were really disappointed.

The lobby has plenty of different spots to sit, meet, connect, or relax, and the staff are very nice. My room was clean, but the wear and tear made it look old and dirty. The rooms are definitely showing their age, and the tub spout in mine leaked the whole time.
