Courtyard Scottsdale Salt River

Breakfast got busy, but Analiza was working the weekend and handled everyone with care. She worked hard, never forgot anything, and made sure we had what we needed. I also spoke with Brooklyn at the front desk when the outdoor fire pit wasn't working properly. Brooklyn promptly passed it along to maintenance and was funny and engaging with guests. Heaven was awesome at checkout. We stayed for three days and two nights during the first week of March for Diamondbacks spring training. We hadn't realized the Giants stay at this hotel. Jikayla checked me in, was amazing and polite, and asked about my Bonvoy preferences so she could take care of them. We had a wonderful balcony room overlooking the courtyard, with the bed facing the balcony door. The room was in great shape, the grounds were well kept, and the hotel was beautiful. From the moment we came in, the staff were welcoming. I only stay at Marriott's, and the people here stood out among all the other hotels I've visited.

Alexia was especially kind, communicated well, and made sure we were taken care of. She handled any issues that came up, and her kindness is one of the main reasons we'd recommend this hotel to people visiting the area. The whole staff were wonderful, service and rooms were amazing, and we had no issues. We stayed for AmFest 2025 and the hotel was about a 25-minute drive away. The views from our hotel were beautiful. We'd most definitely come back, and I highly recommend booking here.

The breakfast was excellent, though a little pricey, and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. Check-in was friendly too, but our room wasn't ready at 4:00 pm, so we took a different room category. The hallway carpets needed vacuuming, and there's only one elevator, which is very slow. Housekeeping comes after two days, but you can ask for fresh towels or sheets at no charge. Parking is $8.00 a day.

I checked in on the Marriott app for a late arrival and mobile key, but travel problems meant I didn't get there until the next day. When I arrived, I found they'd cancelled my entire five-day reservation without sending me any notice. They still charged me for the night I couldn't make it, which would have been fine if they'd kept the reservation. The room they had for three adults was cramped, with a pullout bed at the foot of the king bed. It smelled and wasn't very clean. We may have dodged a bullet by staying somewhere else. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place. What's the point of mobile check-in and entry if they can cancel your reservation without warning?
