The staff were kind, helpful, and really nice, which helped make up for a lot. The hotel and rooms were run down and badly in need of an update. It may be one of the worst Hampton Inns I’ve stayed at. I was there for a Hilton Grand Vacations presentation, and this wasn’t a good reflection of the Hilton brand.

The Hampton Inn Scottsdale front desk agent eventually connected me with the right person, and I was reimbursed for one night at the discounted rate. I’d spent only one night in Scottsdale before heading to Tucson for a night. I booked three discounted nights, but had to attend a two-hour timeshare presentation with no expectations. The booking agent said Tucson, my intended destination, was a 40-minute drive away. The presentation was actually off-site and nowhere near the Hampton Inn Scottsdale. It was hard to find because the area’s numbered addresses and the resort itself weren’t posted. The presentation was pleasant, but the booking agent hadn’t been upfront about the location or logistics.
