Hilton Garden Inn Scottsdale Old Town

Mach at the front desk made a real difference during my stay at Hilton Garden Inn Scottsdale Old Town. He was warm, consistent, and clearly cared about making guests comfortable. He anticipated what I might need and paid attention to the details, which made everything feel easy and relaxing. He also knows his work and is passionate about it. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Scottsdale, especially if they value thoughtful service like Mach’s.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location is great. I live nearby and stayed for a weekend party, but the room felt below par for what it cost. It also had a bad sewer-like smell, which is a big pet peeve of mine. Since we were on the first floor, we couldn’t even open the window a crack. You can tell the hotel sees a lot of traffic, and for a Hilton it’s feeling tired.

The staff were friendly and easy to work with, and the service was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had, even though I travel for work a lot. They texted when my room was ready to ask if I needed anything, and kept that helpful attitude through checkout. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

We picked this place because it was convenient to the local hospital, and the rooms were clean and okay. The location worked for some of our needs, but parking came with a surprise: nobody told us when booking that it cost another $25 to park on site, or that otherwise we’d have to use the street. That didn’t feel safe or reassuring, especially for seniors. There were also small extra charges for things like water and using a safe, despite the hotel saying it isn’t responsible for vehicles or items left in rooms. Service was average. Traffic noise was unbelievable, and people in the hall were loud after the bar closed. We won’t be back. There are kinder, more reasonably priced places to stay.
