Sheraton Desert Oasis II, Scottsdale, USA

Even during the busy Waste Management Open week, Cheyenne made sure we were comfortable. She was kind, accommodating, and clearly cared about our stay. Her positive energy and extra effort made a real difference when things were hectic. We had an amazing stay at Sheraton Desert Oasis, and we’ll absolutely be back.

The room was small but comfortable, and the pools, hot tub, and rec area were all nicely maintained. I loved this resort. It’s right off the freeway, with easy access to just about everything around the Phoenix area. Consider an upper apartment so you don’t hear other people walking around.

The quiet pool was serene, though there’s no restroom next to it. The large family pool was fun, with a lovely waterfall and a big spa that feels like a cave. There’s plenty of seating and pool towels. A casual walk-up Cafe by the pool is there, but there isn’t another restaurant, so we made meals in the room or went out to eat. We had a nice visit and enjoyed the amenities at this fun resort in North Scottsdale 😀.

The rooms were clean and the pool was great, so the hotel itself was perfectly fine. The poor service is what made this a bad experience. We gave them a credit card, and they said it didn’t go through. We provided another card for the hold but explained that we needed to use a specific card at checkout. During our three-night stay, the team texted us every day asking us to confirm payment. We went to the front desk each time to try again and suggested Apple Pay, which they don’t have. On the second day I was locked out of my room, with no communication at all beforehand. When I went to the desk yet again, the staff member was sarcastic and frankly rude. I stay at many luxury hotels for both work and personal trips, and I’ve never had customer service this poor. I demanded to speak with a manager and was able to resolve it quickly. He was kind, but the other staff member left a really bad impression of the hotel.
