WorldMark Scottsdale

We try to make our timeshare worth the money we’re paying, even though we got talked into buying it and don’t like it. Not using it would feel even worse. We usually skip popular places like Hawaii and look for hidden gems instead, and Scottsdale is one of those for us. It’s in a nicer part of the Phoenix area, with hiking, fishing, shopping, casinos, and pool time close by. We love coming to Worldmark Wyndham Scottsdale. The rooms are clean and well kept, and the pool is big enough for 50-100 people. It’s quiet and has the relaxing feel we want when we travel. The part we hate is the pressure from the upselling tactics.

Parking got a little tight at night, though we always managed to find a space. There’s also an Albertsons about a 0.4 mile walk away, handy for picking up Starbucks and a few morning essentials. We stayed March 7-11 for Spring Training and golf with a friend, and the place suited us well. Silverado Golf Course runs alongside the property, so we had great balcony views. Salt River Fields and Talking Stick Resort & Casino are about five minutes away, making games and dinner easy to get to. Our room was clean, comfortable, and roomier than expected. It wasn’t fancy, but it was well maintained, and that was all we needed while spending most of our time out exploring Scottsdale. I was glad there wasn’t an intense timeshare pitch during this stay, unlike at other resort properties I’ve visited. It made things much more relaxed. I’d stay here again.

The location is a little far out, but there’s plenty around once you get there. It’s a small resort, and our room was nice, with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a sleeper sofa. We had a little trouble with the internet, but they came in and helped us without any issues.

The condo was very clean, and the staff were friendly. The pool, grounds, and hot tub were lovely, but the decor was all over the place, with different patterns on the floor, tile, chairs, and art. I couldn’t tell what they were going for, but it didn’t feel calm or serene. The coffee was terrible, even with local, freshly ground coffee, and the poor water quality didn’t help. We had three units, and all of them had the same coffee pots. Even using purchased water and coffee, they still made awful coffee.
