We got to see two Atrium Villa suites because of an AirBnB mix-up. One was very basic, and its washing machine didn’t work. The other was beautifully decorated, well kept, and had a stunning ocean view. The property itself is lovely, near both the beach and golf clubhouse. I’d recommend it, but check the suite’s condition and amenities carefully.

The views are amazing, and the pool and walkable beach entrance are right nearby. The staff were friendly, too. The small second bedroom and oddly arranged sitting area felt awkward, though we mostly left that space unused except for reading on a rainy day. I didn’t mind the pool towels being a bit old since I spent most of my time in the water. The cabanas and chairs had more of a Caribbean feel than a Stateside one, which was fun to imagine for a while. There are lots of bikers around, and driving the 25 all the way back to the gate takes about ten minutes, so allow for that. If you’re checking out on Saturday, grab a luggage cart early. They’re hard to find when everyone’s leaving.

The renovation noise was the biggest problem for us. Major work was going on during my kids’ school break, when lots of people were visiting, and it was earsplitting all day. Our bikes were covered in dust when we took them out. The villa was clean and homey, with three beds, two bathrooms, and easy access to the pool and beach. It was also near nature and biking trails, and came with Monopoly and Sorry! The villas are very spacious. A couple of things didn’t match the website: the golf course view was actually a parking lot, and the tennis courts required payment even though the site said they were included with the amenity cards.

Our 3BR 3B condo had the basics covered, plus a modern kitchen and bathrooms and a roomy screened porch with plenty of comfortable seating and tables. Staff were about average, mostly friendly and helpful with residents and the weekly visitor crowd. The location is handy on Seabrook Island. A road is all that separates the villas from the resort pool, beach shoppes with a restaurant or two, the golf clubhouse, and the beach. Plan dinner ahead and check on reservations, especially Saturday or Sunday, since the resort has only so many restaurants.

The vacation spot is fabulous, and the location was great. Our condo was right across from the pool, which was a real plus. The unit itself was just okay, even though it was advertised as recently remodeled.
