Super 8 by Wyndham Sealy

I came from Michigan to visit several places in Texas, and this hotel was ideally placed among Roundtop, Austin, Houston, Galveston, and San Antonio. I usually choose Sheratons, Marriott, and Westgates, and was unsure when a Westgate Super 8 came up because I tend to think of Super 8 as a low-budget construction worker dive. This one didn't feel that way at all. The office staff were beyond friendly. Even after cover, they're the first hotel that still comes and cleans during your stay. The rooms were clean, and the new beds were to die for. Breakfast was cereal and muffins, with OJ and coffee too. The pool was never busy, which was a bonus.

We were moving cross-country with a dog, so choosing a motel blindly near the highway felt like a gamble. We got lucky with the Super 8 in Sealy. The place felt bright, friendly, and welcoming, and our clean room had everything we needed to be comfortable. We slept well and felt safe. Thanks for making our four-day trip less stressful with such a kind, welcoming atmosphere.

The AC worked really well, and the bed was comfortable, but the floor and microwave were dirty. The drawers were dirty too, and I saw signs of bugs inside them. The towels were badly stained. Breakfast was either sugary cereal with milk or a little muffin about the size of a Little Debbie one. I only stayed because my usual hotel was full, and with my dogs along, there weren't many options. I'll avoid this stop and plan better next time.

Kriss, Connie, the housekeeping team, and all the staff gave us a wonderful experience and really outdid yourselves.
