I paid when I arrived, then quickly saw how filthy and run down the hotel was and worried about getting bedbugs. I asked for my money back immediately. The man in the office was nice and agreed, though he said he couldn’t process it right then and assured me the refund would come. It never arrived. I’ve called several times and been ignored. It’s been nearly four months, and they seem as dishonest as the place is dirty.

The only good thing was how close it was to the beach. The room was dirty, with garbage still there and sheets covered in hair before we even arrived. There was no hot water or smoke detector, and the windows wouldn’t lock. The curtains barely covered them. They advertise free WiFi, but we weren’t given the password at check-in, and without it we had no service at all. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The location was perfect, just a six-minute walk to the beach and boardwalk. The room, though, was absolutely disgusting. The sheets and towels were clean, but the bed blanket was filthy and clearly unwashed. The shower looked like it had never been cleaned, the pillows were stained and discolored, and the room had flies, gnats, and moths everywhere.

We had a reservation, but got turned away before we could even get inside. I booked through Booking.com for two adults and one bed. They said the room would be ready by 2 p.m., and we arrived around 3:30 after being at the beach. The front desk guy was sitting in a rocking chair with a cigarette in his mouth. He rudely asked our age, and when I said 19, told us we couldn’t stay because the law required guests to be 21. But the posted policy said the minimum age was 18, and other places nearby let people 18 and up reserve. I called Booking.com to check. They tried calling the motel, got no answer, then emailed to ask what happened and request an explanation. We’d done nothing wrong and were kicked out for being “underaged.” Honestly ridiculous. This place needs to be shut down.
