Boardwalk Hotel Charlee & Beach House Rentals

The boardwalk was a ghost town off season, and I couldn’t find anywhere to get breakfast, so we had to leave the beach earlier than I wanted and go across the bridge for food. Still, the price was great, and I’ll come back. The desk person met me there, upgraded me to a free room, and was really accommodating. My room was spacious, clean, and in a perfect spot. Best of all, the memory foam mattress felt just like my own bed.

We came for two nights in November, and the rooftop deck was a highlight. It had really nice ocean views, and sitting outside in the open air was lovely. The room had a Roku Smart TV and had recently been remodeled. It wasn’t fancy, but it was pretty nice, though the floors could have been cleaned better. The room wasn’t gross by any means. It’s a great spot for a short getaway, and we’ll definitely return.

The gentleman at the desk was friendly and helpful, and he let me check in early. The room was very clean, the bathroom was all new, and there’s free parking and free ice if you ask. The bed was a little soft, but fine. I don’t know where that guy got the idea it cost $300. I’d definitely recommend the place and come back next year.

That’s ridiculous. I’d request a refund for the room that night, plus reimbursement or replacements for all the food and drinks. Ask for the manager’s contact details or business card too. I wouldn’t want to spend another night in a room full of ants. If the person working now won’t help, you may need to escalate it in the morning. They’re essentially making you sleep with the ants, so I’d ask for the whole night’s stay back as well as the cost of the food.
