Americas Best Value Inn-Seaside North

If you just need somewhere to sleep, this place does the job. I needed parking, a hot shower, and somewhere to charge my devices. The outlets I tried, both plug and USB, all worked, and there was a TV and microwave. It's right off the street into town, so expect car noise, thin walls, and sounds from other guests or the family running the inn. There's no sidewalk for an easy walk elsewhere. I booked ahead but noticed the price went down closer to my arrival. Maybe they have occupancy issues since nearby hotels offer more amenities. If you need the service bell, it's a small white flat button along the counter at the service window. I couldn't find it at first, but got her attention by turning the light on and off.

The showers were strong and the TV worked. On the downside, parking was very tight, the room was much smaller than competitors at the same price, and the towels looked like they should have been replaced a year ago.

The room smelled awful and everything was visibly dirty. Several things were broken, the walls were paper thin, and front desk staff hung up on me while I was on the phone with them. I would've rather slept in my vehicle.

I slept well, and it's a very nice place, but they don't have coffee.
