We got a roof over our heads for the night, but the price made it hard to feel this was worthwhile. Changing our Booking.com date doubled the cost. If you need somewhere in an emergency, booking directly with OYO may be the better move. It might suit budget travelers, though with kids, the walk downtown didn't feel practical because of some of the activity around there. We won't be back for the value. The room was clean, with a decent bed and enough space, plus a microwave, fridge, and lots of TV channels. Parking was plentiful, the property was fairly quiet, and we didn't have a river view. The desk only opens from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and check-in for three hotels is handled at this one spot, which helps explain the limited service. We were a family of four and got only two towels, even after asking. We had brought an air mattress, but were told we could have just a few extra blankets, which made things less comfortable. The room is older despite the fresh-looking paint. The spa tub seemed dated, and its jets are turned on with a wall switch like at a public hot tub, so we skipped it.

We only stayed the night, and the king room's river view left the kids some space to play. The little kitchenette was handy for making their meals, and you can borrow board games from the office to take upstairs. The staff were kind and attentive, and the location was convenient. The wood floor was a plus. We were satisfied with the stay, though the room could feel too dark and the heater could make it overheated.

We brought our dog, and he loved the place. There was a $50 pet deposit, but only $15 ended up being charged after checkout. For a beach hotel where you're likely spending most of your time on the beach, this was a great fit for the price, and we'll come back. The room was just right. The fridge was bigger than I expected, with a good sized freezer on top, and there was a stovetop range for cooking. I hadn't realized it would have one, so I'll remember that next time.

The bed was comfortable and the room was decent, though the pillows were very soft, so bring your own. I was looking forward to the jetted tub, but after filling it I had to wait two and a half hours before it was usable. The shower was worse: the water came out scalding hot and there was no way to adjust the temperature. Check the water before you settle in. The TV came with no instructions, so I hope you're better with remotes than we were. I did enjoy the stay otherwise, but not being able to shower was disappointing.
