The location was wonderful for visiting Seaside, and we hardly needed to drive. We had a lovely king suite with an ocean view and a Jacuzzi; for the price, it was great. The room was clean and comfortable, mostly in good repair, and stayed quiet even with lots of dogs and kids in the hotel. There was plenty of hot water, which I'd worried about with such a big tub. The patio door was very hard to open and close, though, and that took away from the luxury feel. Breakfast was the main letdown. On the one day we wanted to use the free hotel breakfast, it wasn't out at the scheduled time, and there were no employees in the cafe or breakfast area when I went down at 9 a.m. It wasn't a huge deal, but would've been annoying if I'd been counting on it or paid extra. It's a beach hotel, so there are kids and animals around at all hours. Keep that in mind if you're hoping to use the pool or hot tub. It's a three-star place, so don't expect a concierge or anything fancy beyond what's listed in the room amenities. I do recommend it and would stay again.

We were on the second floor, and while I initially wanted to be higher up, the view turned out great. From the balcony I could say hi to people walking on the promenade, and you can even see the ocean from the toilet. We booked the ocean view room with a Jacuzzi. It was quiet in early February, and the room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast restaurant was okay, but the main part of town is within walking distance, so there are plenty of other places to eat.

Sarah was the real surprise. She was a gem, professional without being over the top, and more than amazing. I noticed staff often stopped by reception to chat with her. She came across as empathetic and genuine; I hope management knows what an asset she is. Well done, Sarah! I spent a week here over Christmas, of all times, and was satisfied with the clean rooms and crisp-feeling bedding. I enjoyed the free coffee in the lobby, ate at the pleasant restaurant, and used the hot tub and swimming pool despite the cold weather. Everything else was as I'd expected. I stay in five-star hotels often, so I wasn't expecting five-star service.

The food and drinks were delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff helped me arrange a surprise event without a hitch. We felt safe, with secure facilities and attentive staff. From arrival to leaving, everything was welcoming and smooth. We had a wonderful weekend in a gorgeous, clean, inviting room with thoughtful details that made it feel special. Cozy fireplaces, nice views and peaceful shared areas added to the charm. We could relax while staying close to attractions. Highly recommended.

We won't be back. Check-in was at 4 p.m., but when we arrived around two, they said early check-in would cost $50 even though the rooms were already made up. Ridiculous. My husband had paid extra for an ocean-view room because I'd be there while he attended meetings. The ocean was about a quarter mile away, across a huge sand dune, and only the top floors had that view. I wouldn't recommend paying for their "ocean view." Ever.
