Standing on the glass floor and looking down really does give you that feeling of floating. The pictures turn out amazing, too. I had one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen, especially at sunset with those dramatic clouds. There’s plenty to eat and enjoy, so it’s easy to spend a great stretch of time there. The whole visit felt unforgettable, definitely an experience worth having.

The 360° views were breathtaking, and there are café areas where you can get a coffee or drink, relax, enjoy the view, and think about life and future plans. I went to the Space Needle in the second week of May, arriving around 6 PM because I assumed it was near sunset. I hadn’t checked first, and was surprised to learn that at that time of year in Seattle, the sun sets much later, around 7:30 to 8 PM. Keep that in mind if you’re hoping to catch sunset. I loved that there are cameras in some spots for taking pictures by scanning a QR code. That was amazing as a solo traveler. Asking strangers for photos can feel awkward, though I met kind people and we took pictures for each other too. The photos are free to download, and you can edit them on the website or app using preset backgrounds. The glass floor level was scary at first when I looked down, but then I thought, “I paid to be here, I HAVE to take pictures and enjoy this!” I heard lots of people say they were too scared, but don’t leave without getting photos there, it becomes one of the coolest memories of the visit. There’s also a gift shop with cute souvenirs like keychains, plushies, and decorations. I didn’t buy anything because I was continuing my trip, but it was fun to look around. It was such an unforgettable experience, and absolutely worth visiting if you’re in Seattle.

The pie on the top floor was quite good, and the city looked beautiful from up there. We had good weather and spectacular views, including Mount Rainier in full view one morning. Sunrise or sunset on a clear day would be lovely. The Space Needle is a Seattle landmark and a must-see for tourists, with lots of good stories about the structure. People often compare it to the Eiffel Tower, saying it is to Seattle what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. I’d recommend getting a CityPass to see this and other attractions in the city.

The wait was long, a bit like lining up for Disneyland rides, but it was worth it. I’d recommend booking tickets online in advance and reserving a time slot, especially for sunset views. Just know the slot gets you into the line, not to the top of the Space Needle.

The whole visit was delightful and well organized, thanks to the staff, and worth the price despite the occasional lines. I recommend bundling the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass tickets since they’re right next to each other and make for a memorable outing. Going up the tower includes different activities, viewpoints, and chances to learn about it. The view from the top is breathtaking and surreal, and there are automated selfie cameras on the outside that take pictures from a unique angle. It’s an awesome experience at the famous Space Needle.
