My husband and I came from SoCal and stayed two nights. The area felt a little sketchy, but the motel has a large secure gate and the manager seemed to take security seriously. The manager at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a very nice bathroom. The bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up. We had a great stay and will come back if we're in the area.

The room was small, but had enough space for a few nights, and it was spotless and smelled clean. I wasn't sure whether the pillow shams were changed daily, so I would have preferred fresh white pillowcases on all the pillows. The locked gate was a welcome sight when we arrived, since I didn't know Seattle or which areas were safe. The office was very clean and didn't have strong scents masking anything. A young woman came to open the door after we rang the office bell. I'd recommend staying here. It was an easy drive to the pier we needed, and transit was very close.

After five nights here, I was bitten badly by bed bugs during my last few nights. I travel around the country for work every week and rarely leave bad reviews, but I'm worried the bugs may now be in my belongings. One evening my key card wouldn't work when I returned. I rang the bell many times and called the hotel, but got no answer. I ended up sleeping in my car in the parking lot and freezing overnight. They offered no compensation, which I found odd, and barely apologized. I could only stay in my room for 4 of the 5 nights. Things can go wrong in business, but customers should be compensated in a situation like this. Edit: The owner responds to every bad review with sarcasm and dismissal. Instead of taking action, you accuse customers to justify your failing business. I have photos proving there were insects. Keep failing. Real management listens to customer concerns. An empathetic, genuine response could help your reviews on other platforms. Bed bug bomb your property.

The hotel and grounds were very clean and well cared for. You can tell the staff take pride in the place from the friendly check-in to daytime upkeep, like clearing leaves from the parking area. I even found a cute bow folded onto the toilet paper roll. My stay was quiet and peaceful, with mild street noise despite being on a busy road, and a grocery store like Sprouts was nearby for supplies. As a solo traveler looking for a clean, safe, affordable hotel not too far from downtown, it worked perfectly. The private gated lot made me feel secure, parking was free, and check-in was kind, professional, and quick. The room was clean and had a microwave, coffee machine, and larger mini fridge with a small freezer section that could fit leftover boxes. It took me about a 20-minute drive from where I'd stayed in Downtown Seattle the day before, depending on traffic. It's not the fanciest or closest place to downtown, but it seemed like the best deal for saving money for food and hiking. I'd definitely stay here again.

Heidi and Joy were amazing and so funny, and the beds and bedding were some of the softest I've ever slept in. I loved staying at this motel. When I visit Seattle again, this is the only place I'll stay.
