Best Western Plus Pioneer Square Hotel Downtown

The staff deserve 10/10. I'm especially grateful to front desk Bryce, Rebeccah, and Kennita for their hospitality, warmth, kindness, generosity, and helpfulness throughout my 7-day stay. I had tons of questions as a tourist, and they made sure I had a great time in Seattle. They were fun to talk to, informative, and efficient, and really cared about making guests' stays a good experience. The location gets 10/10 too. The hotel is in the historical area, near the center of things, across from Seattle Waterfront. Most downtown tourist spots are walkable. It's a 4-minute walk to the nearest metro train station, with a direct ride to the airport, and 9 minutes on foot to China Town and King Street Station for Amtrak trains to and from Vancouver. Restaurants, bars, clubs, art stores, the post office, and the major stadiums, Lumen Field and T-Mobile Park, are just steps away. My room was quiet and pretty, with a historical, opulent look and what a tourist needs: a comfortable big bed, cabinet, work desks, bedside lamps, lots of sockets, effective air conditioning and heater, fridge, iron and board, hangers, blower, full-length mirror, and safe box. There's also a microwave in the pantry that's available 24/7. Comfort gets 10/10. The generous, complete breakfast buffet makes it great value for money, 10/10. Amenities get 10/10 as well, with an ice and food vending machine on each floor and a purified water dispenser downstairs. I drank straight from the room sink and found the water safe. Cleanliness was 10/10, with regular daily housekeeping and a do not disturb sign option. Wi-Fi was super stable, 10/10. Nothing to complain about, just great experiences.

I'm a housekeeper myself, and I could tell this place was very clean and well cared for. The complimentary breakfast was good, and the woman working there was so nice. She has a tip jar too, just saying, she deserves it. The GM was at the desk one of the days we were there, Wednesday and Thursday night, and made some passing conversation. It's a lovely, clean place to stay in a nice spot in Washington, and the price was excellent.

We had a large king room with a comfortable bed, good shower pressure, quiet surroundings, and heating and cooling controls that worked well. The hotel has a charming feel, friendly and helpful staff, an original central staircase as well as an elevator, and historical Pioneer Square photos in the hallways. Breakfast was free and better than expected, with a range of breakfast sandwiches, waffles, cheeses, yogurt, oatmeal, and more. We arrived by light rail and left by ferry, so the location worked ideally for both. Since we weren't leaving the area until late afternoon, the staff kept our bags for free so we could explore without carrying luggage. We left a tip.

We like staying here a few times a year because it's a good value, especially for baseball and football games. The stadiums, fun attractions, and restaurants are all walkable. Breakfast is good, and the 24-hour espresso machine is a favorite. Street noise can make the rooms loud, so bring earplugs.
