Fairmont Olympic Hotel

The room was clean, but it had visible maintenance issues: peeling wallpaper, water damage over the shower, a loose bathroom mirror, and melted plastic stuck to the iron that ruined my husband's shirt. The champagne and strawberries in the romance package were fine, but the stay didn't feel special or match the hotel's branding. Nobody even acknowledged Valentine's Day, which surprised me given the package. Planning was difficult from the start. I booked the romance package and couldn't get concierge to respond to most of my calls, texts, or emails before arrival. At check-in, we waited 47 minutes without anyone acknowledging us or apologizing. Then we missed our dinner reservation because valet said getting our car would take about 30 minutes. By the time we came back for help, concierge was closed and the front desk had few solutions. A manager turned a $50 massage credit into hotel credit and suggested room service, but that didn't fix things. At checkout, the apology felt routine, not responsive, which made me wonder if these problems happen often. That's what concerned me most. We've had much more attentive, proactive service at other Seattle hotels, including Silver Cloud SODO, where communication and guest care felt like a priority. I'd welcome direct contact from management to discuss the stay. The service, communication, and room condition didn't match the price or reputation. But after our attempts to reach staff, I'm not confident anyone will call back.

Our company held a large sales conference here, and I attended and stayed four nights. It was my first visit, and I was impressed by every part of the hotel. The place is visually stunning with classic charm, and it had the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on. Great job!

For me, the best part was the service, the best I've experienced anywhere in the world. I had to leave at 6 a.m. on a Sunday, and Beyoncé, the main valet on duty, made sure my son could keep the rental EV parked safely and charging until his later departure. He'd lost the key fob but had the information to start the car on his iPhone. She represents what makes this Seattle landmark elite. The Olympic Fairmont is in an ideal spot, within walking distance of the city's major sights. Our room made for a beautiful stay, blending historical elegance with modern comfort and technology.

David at the front desk anticipated what we needed and made suggestions that helped make the stay a five out of five. The other David, who served us afternoon tea, was charismatic and knew his stuff. I'll definitely be back. By the way, get the madam butterfly tea, you'll thank me later. Lou, the manager, finished things off with a smooth and funny checkout. Apparently not everyone at the Olympic is named David. Definitely worth staying at the Fairmont Olympic in Seattle.
