The location in historic Belltown is hard to beat, with nightlife, food, street art, live music, and Pike Place Market all within walking distance. There’s also a great back patio. This place has been a hostel for ages and recently came under new ownership. They’ve cleaned it up and improved it, which was nice to see. I loved the vibe and the staff, and there are lots of room choices, both shared and private. Great value, and worth a stay.

The staff were welcoming and always willing to help, and the shower had great strong pressure. The location was handy, only a few minutes on foot from Pike Place Market and the Space Needle, with lots of good cafes nearby. Music at the hotel sometimes got loud, particularly at night when I was trying to sleep, perhaps because of the Christmas and New Year holidays. The bathroom had nowhere to set shampoo or shower gel, so I had to put them on the floor. There also weren’t any coat hooks for winter coats, and a small bathroom bin would help female guests dispose of personal items. It was a good stay, though a few things could be improved.

I was traveling alone as a woman, and the hostel felt friendly and safe. The people there were professional, accommodating, and kind, and the place was clean with good water pressure. It’s easy to get around on foot, with bodegas, restaurants, bars, and public transit nearby. The ocean is close enough for a walk down to the pier to watch the boats. Ask the front desk about the building and neighborhood history, it’s a real treat. I didn’t have time to try the sauna, but it looked really cool, so maybe next time.

Belltown puts you right near bars, restaurants, nightlife, Pike Place Market, and the Space Needle, so exploring Seattle on foot is easy. The place has a fun, social feel, whether you want to meet other travelers or just relax. The kitchen has what you need to cook, and the beds were clean and comfy. Staff were super friendly and happy to offer tips or chat. Such an awesome spot. I’d definitely recommend it for a comfortable stay in the heart of the city, and I’ll be back next time I’m in Seattle.

My complaint is entirely about the cancellation policy. I paid a $146 deposit for a week, at about the same price as a standard hotel room, with no special deal or discounted rate. I booked directly on the hostel’s website to support them, then had to cancel when my plans changed less than an hour later. Even though the stay was still more than a month away, they kept the full deposit. I understand businesses have policies and that guests agree to them when booking, but keeping all the money for a standard-priced room cancelled over four weeks ahead felt unreasonable and frankly shady. Losing that much with no flexibility or partial refund leaves a bitter impression, especially for travelers on a budget. I rarely write negative reviews, but this was disappointing enough to mention. If you decide to stay, I strongly suggest booking through a third-party site where you at least have the option to cancel without losing the full payment. The hostel itself looks lovely in the photos, and I’m sure it could be a great place to stay.
