Room 1 was impossible to stay in. They'd rented the floor to a party, with loudspeakers about 10 feet behind my door. The music was awful, even earbuds at full volume couldn't cover it, and everything in the room shook. Their website hadn't advertised any concerts on my booked dates, and my room wasn't above a concert venue. It was right in the middle of a loud party, and the door blocked no sound at all. Instead of apologizing, they argued against my refund. I couldn't sit in that chaos, so I booked somewhere else. They may dispute what I'm saying, but they know what they did. The people here are horrible. Do not stay here. This was my worst hotel experience.

The setup is very self-service, but if you need help, the staff respond quickly by email, phone, or text. There's no traditional front desk. You pay 48 hours before arrival, then get the front door and room codes by email and text. The instructions are clear, though walking straight in without checking in can feel odd. I actually like the arrangement. The rooms have towels, soap, and other basics, and there's a spot where you can grab extra towels, ice, or water. The hotel is on the second floor, and as far as I could tell, there's no elevator. Staff offer to help carry bags if you call or text. I don't know what access is like for people with limited mobility or wheelchair users. I expect the staff would help, but I'd reach out in advance to make sure you can get what you need. The place is literally above a music venue, and events also happen in the lobby. You'll hear music, drums, and bass through the floors and walls. It isn't unreasonably loud, and they provide earplugs and have quiet hours, so sleeping was fine. Chances are you're here for the music anyway. If crowds make you anxious but you still want to see your favorite band, it's a huge plus that you can step out of the venue's main entrance and into the hotel door next door. In my photo, the venue doors are on the left and the hotel door is on the right. The room and lobby were clean, with fun, welcoming decor. I felt a bit like a rock star with private rooms backstage. This quirky boutique hotel made me feel part of the show, and I'd happily return. A room above the venue is such a cool idea. Thank you so much!!! ❤️❤️

The process here is modern and easy. You don't have to spend 30+ minutes at a desk after doing the paperwork and reservation online. We came to see a show and decided to stay the night at Hotel Crocodile. The atmosphere was great, almost like a modern Gatsby. Definitely recommend, and we'll be back.

The location's the only thing this place has going for it. My husband and I live nearby but wanted a night downtown, and I was disappointed. The rooms were shabby, the beds hard, and the whole building thumped all night because it's on top of a club. You'd think they'd have done more to soundproof it. There was nobody around to help when problems came up. The bathroom doors are louvered, so your room companions can hear all your toilet business. Really strange. Some light fixtures don't even cover the holes in the ceiling. Maybe it works for younger people who haven't stayed anywhere nicer, but it wasn't for me.

We booked for an in-house concert and really enjoyed this unusual little hole-in-the-wall venue. The decor was lovely and distinctive. Thanks for having us, Crocodile!
