We had a good one-night stay, and the location made it easy to walk to dog-friendly places. Our dog could stay without a fee, and the spacious room was very quiet. It looked a little worn, especially the bathtub, though it was still nice overall. The staff were friendly and attentive. We drove and used valet parking, with fees comparable to other hotels we looked at. My main issue is the resort fee. I don't understand what it covers beyond the wine hour, and it felt like a cash grab. Set that fee aside and it's a good hotel for what it offers.

The valets working Feb. 20-21st were fantastic, knowledgeable, and kind. The location was also ideal for the 5th Avenue Theater. Breakfast at the connected restaurant was fine, but service there wasn't great. I've stayed at a few Kimptons, and this one disappointed me. The room was tiny and a bit dated, facing a car park that stayed lit all night. The woman at the front desk came across as borderline unfriendly. I'd have been okay with perfunctory service, but didn't even get that. I wouldn't stay again.

The location worked well for my downtown work trip, but it didn't make up for bad sleep and so few amenities. I've never had trouble sleeping or even noticed a bad mattress before, yet these beds were painfully hard. I tried pillows, couch cushions, and extra comforters to make a nest, but they were all so flimsy that my spine still felt awful. The room was large, nearly to the point of having dead space, while the bathroom was cramped enough that I had to squeeze between the toilet and sink just to close the door. Most floors look straight into a parking garage that's lit around the clock, so bring a sleep mask or use the blinds. The bed bath and beyond shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser is a cardinal sin of hotel bathrooms. The wine theme might sound charming in theory, but the Bordeaux-colored couch and canvas prints of wine glasses made it feel like a gimmick. Even the free wine at check-in was bad, both red and white.

It was easy to get around the city from this accessible location, and being able to bring our pets was a huge bonus. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout. My room was clean, comfortable, and nice, so relaxing was easy. A pleasant, hassle-free stay. I'd recommend it to people visiting Seattle.

We stayed four days before joining a cruise ship to Australia. The room was spacious and the bathroom functional, but there were no grab rails for older guests with mobility problems. There weren't any in-room guides for the TV or air conditioning, either. The front desk button on the phone went unanswered. For the restaurant and room service, the message said to leave your name and number and they'd get back to you within 72 hours!!! Breakfast was included, but that meant one plate and one cup. Our first time ordering what we wanted cost an extra $45. My partner asked for coffee a certain way, had a run-in with the waitress when it wasn't made that way, and we left without returning. Staff training needs attention if the USA is to be great again!!! There were plenty of other issues, like five different kinds of light switches in the room. It reminded me of the British show Faulty Towers with John Cleese and Manual the Spanish waiter. This vintage hotel could make a good movie sequel. Dogs are welcome here. Stay longer than a day at your own risk if you expect service!!!
