Lotte Hotel Seattle

I booked this because it looked like a five-star hotel, but I was surprised there was no pool and no hot tub in the room, which I thought other hotels usually had. The decor was strange to me, with a room full of mirrors, and the use of Morris made it feel a little creepy. I haven’t checked out the location myself, but I heard there are a lot of homeless people outside, so avoid it if you’re looking for a good stay. I also saw the sauna, which was very small. I don’t understand why this is rated four stars. It should be more like two or three.

We were married on January 9, and LOTTE HOTEL Seattle meant so much to us that we returned the following week to celebrate all over again. The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable, and we can see ourselves coming back many times. There’s nowhere quite like it in Seattle. The team’s care and pride turned two separate weeks into memories we’ll keep forever. So many people made the stay special. Melissa made sure our rooms had everything we might need, right down to the small details. At the front desk, Tyler and Troy even tracked down AA batteries so our daughter could take pictures with her camera. Tyler also gave our three-year-old a LOTTE Hotel bear that he now runs around the house with. Arthur drove us to different places around the city and treated us like family. Jason handled dinner service, and he’s personable and helpful when deciding what to eat. Ask for him if you can.

My wife and I stayed at the Lotte Hotel from December 4 to December 8, 2025, and have found a new favorite hotel in Seattle. The room was comfortable and the accommodations pleased us, though we’d have given it five stars if there had been a large bathroom mirror instead of just a small one on one side. We understand the hotel has an award-winning architectural design, but it still needed that larger mirror. We enjoyed breakfast each morning overlooking the bay and having cocktails in the evening. Fiona and Hugo were excellent, attentive, and great with service. David, Kalvin, and Sean also made sure we were well looked after. The whole hotel team were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Tyler and Jorge checked us in and explained our AMEX Platinum options. Tyler also helped us with the Lexus Drive Experience. Melissa, Tory, and Georgi were helpful whenever we needed the front desk or concierge. Carlos, Grant, Tom, Rommel, and Kelvin helped us receive and return the Lexus, handle our luggage, and assist when our Uber arrived or when we left for our flight home. We thoroughly enjoy visiting Seattle.

The Lotte was clean, the service was good, and the location was central enough, in a part of town that was okay. I picked it because of some Forbes four-diamond rating and expected it to be really clean, so those basics were fine. The surprise was the decor: dark blood-red halls and carpets, with claw-mark numbers on the doors. We called it the devil's lair as a joke, but it honestly felt creepy, like a horror movie or a grimy 90s Hard Rock Cafe. The art over the bed was pretty unsettling too. Everything else at the hotel was fine, and some of it was wonderful. I took my bride-to-be to Seattle in summer 2024 hoping for a once-in-a-lifetime trip. The city felt grimy and stuck in the 90s to us, though outside Seattle it was beautiful. We loved the seaplane to Roche Harbor and the kayak tour, both breathtaking. Seattle feels less like Sleepless in Seattle now and more like Nirvana Heroin Grunge, especially since the pandemic, CHAZ zone, and all that. Roccos Pizza was easily the best pizza we've ever had, by a lot. The plane ride and pizza might make the trip worthwhile on their own. Safe travels.
