MarQueen Hotel

The cafe next door was a real treat, too. We stayed in the Mercer suite for V-day, and it was cute and cozy. The remodeled hotel is gorgeous, with vintage touches everywhere: old-style heaters on the floor, no closing shower door, no elevators, and music that carried through the lobby and lounge. The doormen were great, and we loved the whole experience. We got an early check-in for a $50 fee. I didn't catch any staff names, but everyone was helpful and accommodating. One person even drew us a map to a beer hall.

The decor is cute, but there was a lot of street noise, and there’s no elevator for rooms on the third floor. Water and ice are only available in the lobby, not on the other floors. We paid the full amount online, then at check-in they asked for a card for incidentals. After we checked out, they kept the hold amount and it suddenly became an “amenity fee.” The website clearly says fees are included, and they refused to do anything about it. We'll see.

The vintage feel of the hotel was great, and we'll be back. Our room was clean, large, and cozy, with super comfortable beds. Aki, the manager, was amazing and really friendly, and all the staff were incredible. It's a perfect place to stay for hockey games and other events at climate pledge arena.

A friend and I had a wonderful night here. The vintage style runs throughout, but the place was also clean and comfortable. Climate Pledge is an easy walk away. Everyone we met, from the valet to the front desk and beyond, was pleasant and welcoming. Staying here was a real treat. Highly recommend!
