Renovated Bright 1 BR in the heart of Capitol Hill – APT B

We spent a week in the Seattle area, with a weekend in the Cascades in the middle, so we stayed in two different second-floor rooms. We liked both, but especially the one with a balcony. Having morning coffee outside with pastries from nearby Cafe Nouveau was lovely. The parking pass was useful for parking in the neighborhood. The owners have a cat and a dog, both wonderful pets. They’ll leave you alone if you’re not keen on animals, though Bear is convinced everyone’s his best friend. The location in Capitol Hill was great. You can take the 10 line from Pike Place Market almost to the door. Driving south from the inn, the airport was about half an hour away. Edmonds, where you can go whale watching, was about half an hour north. We’ve already strongly recommended the hotel to friends and family.

The owners made us feel so welcome and shared their sweet dog, Bear, with us. The kids were polite and fun, and the coffee machine was amazing. We had a great stay! The parking situation does stink, but it’s not something the owners can control. Seattle parking is terrible, and the pass is reasonably priced, so you don’t have to move the car every two hours. You pay for parking at just about every hotel, so it doesn’t seem fair to blame them for it. The house was gorgeous inside and out. Charming doesn’t cover it. We took pictures because we thought it was so cool!

Ryan and Joelle went out of their way to help me propose to my partner. They even set up full decorations in our room twice! Their hospitality is so warm that you feel looked after, and their customer service is second to none. The community rooms and suites are beautiful and make it feel like you’ve landed in another time period. Our stay at the Seattle Gaslight Inn was phenomenal. I can’t wait to come back.

Ryan and Joelle are wonderful hosts and have made the Seattle Gaslight Inn a great place to stay when visiting Seattle. Being close to the 1 line and cute local businesses is a big plus. I can’t recommend it enough. Do yourself a favor and book a stay!
