Residence Inn by Marriott Seattle Northgate Station

The staff were incredibly kind, even letting us check in early after my husband’s radiation treatment for brain cancer at the nearby UW Gammaknife treatment center. We were there for two nights, and the room was gorgeous and immaculate. That king bed and its pillows were so comfortable I could’ve stayed forever. Breakfast was delicious, too, with loads of choices.

The full kitchen was a real plus, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are great. It’s also easy to get on and off I-5, with shops and light rail close by. There’s an adjacent garage reserved for hotel parking. It’s clean, well lit, feels safe, and is patrolled often. Parking costs extra, but I thought it was worth it. I’d stay here whenever I’m in Seattle and definitely recommend it.

You can hear the train since the tracks are only about 50 feet away. It didn’t bother me, and I actually liked watching the trains and I-5 go by. Light sleepers might want to ask for a room on the east side. The hotel’s new, clean, and an easy walk from the commuter train. Staying here saved me a lot compared with the crazy hotel and parking prices downtown. I’ll come back next time I’m in the area.

The gym was solid, with a good mix of cardio and resistance machines, though it can get crowded in the morning, so plan for that. Breakfast was the usual Residence Inn fare. I liked seeing Chobani yogurts, but there could’ve been more fruit. It’s a quiet, spacious new property by Northgate station, with plenty of nearby grocery and dine-in options. The staff were welcoming and my room was clean. Coworkers say rooms on the side away from the rail are better. For context, I’ve spent over 1,000 nights at Marriott properties. This is by far the best Residence Inn and better than most Courtyards. Recommended with enthusiasm.
