The Inn at El Gaucho

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and I enjoyed my stay. The front desk was friendly, and the free cookies and drinks were a nice touch. I liked walking in to music already playing in the room. I'd have preferred a larger bathroom, especially if sharing with another traveler, and a bathtub would be nice. My room was beside the stairs and lobby, so it felt less private than I'd like. I'd still recommend the place.

The renovated rooms were comfortable and tastefully done, though a few details still needed attention. The shower door wouldn't shut properly, the phone didn't work, and there were hooks for pictures but no pictures, plus a bare floor that could use a rug. Service was excellent, and the place had a warm, charming feel. The free happy hour was a highlight, with a good range of wine and snacks, and a chance to chat with other guests.

We went for our anniversary, and everyone looked after us generously, from check-in through dinner. The food was insanely delicious, especially the steak, and the drinks and appetizers were great too. The recently remodeled rooms were cute and cozy, with thoughtful touches like heated bathroom floors and music playing when we arrived. I'm sure we'll stay again.

The price felt right for an inn this central, and the room was comfortable without being fancy. Ours was an interior room, so it was very quiet at night. The standard room was surprisingly large, with a comfy bed and a nice sitting area. A few things could use refreshing, but it didn't feel too worn. The lobby is small but comfortable. Everyone on staff made us feel welcome. If a boutique hotel suits you, you'll like this place. I plan to stay again.
