We stayed in one of the two-bedroom, two-bath condo suites, which was comfortable and had a kitchenette and patio. Even our dog was happy there. The location was perfect for our golf outing, with restaurants and shops, some open late, within walking distance. It was easy to reach hiking trails from Adobe Village Inn, and the views of Bell Rock were AMAZING! We’ll be back.

This was the Sundance room, and we left after waiting too long for help. The room smelled awful and looked nothing like the outdated, inaccurate photos. Everything seemed old and neglected, the couch was chipped, there was no refrigerator, and the thermostat had to be controlled by the property. When I called about the problems, they hung up. Messages on the app said a manager would come inspect the room, but nobody showed. There was nobody at the front desk, and the customer service number took forever to answer. The price was far too high for a room like this. Think twice before booking.

The best parts were the location and the morning view of snow on the trees and nearby scenery. The online pictures made the property look much better than it was in person. We nearly checked out, but we were on a tour all day and didn’t have time to change hotels. Our rooms weren’t cleaned daily, which I hadn’t known, and the place needs on-site staff and a warmer, more welcoming atmosphere. This trip was for my 50th birthday. My husband called twice two weeks ahead to ask if they could leave a card or flowers, but the person who answered said they would ask and call back. No one did, and there was nothing special for my arrival. We could have stayed at Sedona Golf Resort, now owned by hIlton, but my husband thought this would be better. Someone we met on a wine tour was staying at that resort for their birthday and received a card, wine, and chocolates. There was no staff or front desk available for help. I had to call and text a number, and it seemed like someone in the Phillipines was responding from the opposite time zone. The messages went back and forth all night, when it was the middle of the night for me. Our heater failed during a snowy, very cold night. The ecobee thermostat wasn’t working properly. The person responding said someone had tried to access it remotely, but it still didn’t work, so they sent someone the next day. I’m not sure it ever worked properly. The next two nights were warmer outside, but at one point the room got too warm and I couldn’t get it back down to the temperature we wanted. The first night we were exhausted, so we picked up quick food from Clarks and planned to eat in the dining area. My sister nearly stepped in a pile of dog poop on the floor beside the tables. The smell was awful, so after using the microwave we took our food to the room. The refrigerator clicked on and off all night with a horrible noise that kept waking us. I didn’t unplug it because we had food and frozen items we didn’t want to spoil. Between the noise and the cold, we got no sleep. I kept asking the woman if anyone could help; she apologized, said she couldn’t reach anyone, and had forwarded the messages to whoever was in charge. The next day they brought another refrigerator and left it in the middle of the room without swapping it out, though they’d said they would. I slipped on water when I came back from the car with our last piece of luggage and fell hard, face down on the entryway tile. I’m recovering from a back injury, so that was especially bad. My elbows and knees were bruised. I lay there for a while before I could get up, and nobody was around to help. Carrying luggage up the stairs also felt dangerous, and would be a problem for anyone needing accessible rooms or accommodations.

The outside looked beautiful, but inside the room was unbearable. Even with the $100 Groupon discount, it was a sleepless stay in an 84°F sauna. The AC didn’t work, the windows wouldn’t open, and swarms of forest insects kept us from getting cooler air outside. The emergency numbers weren’t answered. They promised a 15% refund, but the amount we got was only $19.95.

Please take the reviews seriously. I assumed they were overdramatic, but they were trying to warn us, and I wish we’d listened. We booked the purple lizard villa for our anniversary. The day before we arrived, management texted to say the fireplace was out of service and offered 30% of the rental fee. Looking back, that wasn’t much comfort, since the rental fee is only half of what you pay. We were disappointed but still looking forward to the rest of the room. At check-in there was no one around, which other reviews had led me to expect. The room was disgustingly dirty. Dust and debris on the floors left our feet sandy, and soot covered the ceiling, walls, closet, vents, and more. Someone had even written “hi” in it. It looked as if the fireplace had exploded, they aired the place out, and rented it anyway without cleaning. There was a huge water bubble in the paint overhead as you entered the bathroom. The TV was in a broken cabinet facing the door, so you couldn’t watch it from any seating. The bathroom blinds meant to let you enjoy the view from the tub were broken and stuck closed. The jacuzzi was broken, too. We couldn’t use any of the room’s advertised amenities. We paid over $400 to sleep in a dump. When we contacted management, they said someone would check the tub, but nobody ever came. We should have received a full refund, or at least half of the total. I feel robbed. We did not get what we paid for at all. This place is a joke. Avoid it like the plague.
