Lodge At Sedona

The outdoor space was a lovely part of the stay, with a labyrinth and sitting areas to enjoy the Arizona sun and Sedona views. Meals were tasty, and the staff were nice. Walking into the Lodge gave me a relaxed feeling. It was warm and cozy, and I felt welcome right away. My room was cute and, most importantly, clean. It felt like a home away from home.

The grounds are pretty and the location is good, but the stay was just OK. Our room was clean, though small, and I wished there were a nightstand on both sides of the bed. I had to pull a chair over to set down my phone and glass of water. Breakfast was a letdown. It only ran from 8:30 to 9:30 AM, which I knew in advance, but when my mom went down at 9, she was told they’d run out of granola. That was frustrating since I’d wanted to try it, especially because the family working there were eating granola at the time. The bread pudding had no taste. Also, the “organic shampoo” wrecked my hair, which usually needs little care. It felt like straw and was hard to brush. It wasn’t exceptional, and I think it was a bit overpriced. Sedona is pricey in general, though, so maybe the place is just keeping up with the market.

We had a delightful honeymoon stay, and the property managers in particular were so helpful and hospitable. Breakfast was both healthy and delicious. The place felt calm and peaceful, tucked away in a beautiful spot. We can’t wait to visit again!

The Mission Grande Room was a highlight, with a comfortable, clean bed and two private decks overlooking the lovely landscaping. The staff helped us arrange everything, from a massage and flowers in the room to dinner reservations, and they were helpful well before we arrived. We skipped breakfast by choice because service from 8:00 to 9:30 felt a little late for us. I wish it started earlier, but that’s just a personal preference, not a knock on the Lodge. Aside from that, our stay at the Lodge at Sedona was wonderful, easily five stars and then some.
