Check-in and checkout were easy, and the standard room was very nice. No odd smells or noise, none of the little annoyances. I didn't have time for breakfast or many of the amenities. I've often skipped this place for Providence, but Providence no longer has Hilton options with free parking. Downtown is walkable there, but Seekonk has been a better commute than Pawtucket when I've stayed at a Hampton Inn. Gas was cheaper here too, at $2.59, while across the RI border it had reached $3.09.

I had to stay here for personal reasons and can't recommend it. The property is on a busy, noisy street, and the exterior was littered with cigarettes and sometimes trash. In my room, the shower was clogged and the sink faucet kept leaking onto the vanity. I've stayed at many Hampton Inns and Hiltons around the country, and this staff felt unwelcoming. I didn't meet everyone, but the weekday first-shift front desk woman wouldn't greet guests unless they spoke first. Mary and Rosa on the second shift were especially unfriendly and never said hello. My biggest concern is General Manager Michael Brightman. Based on my experience with an issue at the hotel, I found him dishonest and lacking integrity or professionalism. Other reviews have also described what I saw as his disregard and arrogance toward some guests. I've informed Hilton corporate about Mr. Brightman.

The pool was immaculate and heated, and the showers were hot. The beds were comfortable, and the AC really does respond to the wall unit. There was free breakfast each morning, and staff were always ready to help. This Hampton Inn/Hilton is run with a customer-first mindset and gave me my best hotel experience. Whoever manages this property should be a model for other Hilton locations. I'll absolutely return when I'm in town for work or fun.

After driving more than 15 hours, we arrived at 3:30pm and found two front desk staff who barely acknowledged us and seemed annoyed. I'd booked two queen beds weeks earlier for a trip with my dad, and my confirmation clearly said two adults. They said they'd overbooked the double queen rooms and changed us to one king with a “pull out,” claiming I was traveling with one adult. How is that an acceptable substitute? The pullout was filthy, with food under the cover and a black underside to the mattress that showed its age. They didn't offer to fix it, discount the room, or give us late checkout. Someone later said they'd “look into” a discount, but we were charged full price. Kids ran up and down the hall all night, and the people next door had their TV blasting. The hotel can't fully control the neighbors, but it could have put the families with kids in one area. It was an awful stay. I was too angry to take pictures.

There was plenty to walk to nearby, including shops, coffee shops, and restaurants. The hotel also had two lovely outdoor terraces and a mini bar. Breakfast changed a little each day and was lovely, though the plates and cups were paper, and the knives and forks were plastic. They offered free cookies daily that tasted freshly baked. The pool was small but big enough to swim in. The only drawback was that my grandparents' room smelled a little like cannabis from the people next door, which wasn't the hotel's fault. Excellent service from beginning to end. I'd definitely return, and wish we'd stayed longer in the area.
