My husband and I have stayed at the Historic Jacob Hill Inn several times, and it keeps getting better. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable, and we especially like the Boston room for its lovely view. Bill and Eleonora, the innkeepers, know their way around the area and are very accommodating. They help with things like dinner reservations and directions, making it easy to relax and enjoy the stay. The breakfasts are wonderful, and we'll be back.

The Newport Suite on the Diamond Level was immaculate, with a gorgeous view, a relaxing Jacuzzi, and probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The following morning's breakfast was a great spread with an intimate, come-as-you-are feel, like being invited to a fancy restaurant. Bill and Eleonora greeted my wife and me as soon as I stepped out of the car, and it felt like visiting friends who were expecting us. They showed us around the beautiful building and gave us a brief, interesting history before taking us to our room. The hospitality continued throughout. It was easily my best experience, and I hope to get another chance to stay here.

Everything felt personal, from the owners, Bill and Eleonora, to the relaxing property. They accommodated every request we made. My girlfriend and I stayed at the Historic Jacob Hill Inn in August, and it was truly wonderful, the best hotel or B&B stay I've had. I'd definitely go back.

My wife and I are local, and we first visited the Inn after winning a breakfast and tour through a local charity auction. We met the wonderful owners, saw the property, and had fantastic stuffed French toast. That convinced us to book Valentine's weekend. We loved our two nights in the Vanderbilt Suite, especially with record cold temperatures outside and both the fireplace and jacuzzi tub to enjoy. The room was beautifully furnished, though my description can't do it justice. Bill and El's work designing and maintaining it is clear. I especially liked the wide-plank ceiling with handmade nails at each end, and might use a similar design in my own house someday. Bill and El are wonderful people who know their product inside out. Every light fixture and doorway has a story from the building's time as a hunting lodge or from their own 25 years creating this beautiful property. Staying at their Inn was an absolute joy. As I write this with tea from my Historic Jacob Hill Inn mug, one of three I brought home, I'm already looking forward to another visit and another extraordinary breakfast under Bill's and El's roof.
