La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Selma/Smithfield I-95

We always choose this place first when traveling from PA to GA. It's a great halfway stop for a rest, with plenty to do within 3-5 minutes. We've stayed here many times, and the service, food, and clean rooms are consistently great. This visit, people were yelling in the hallway after 10 pm, and there were yappy dogs at 6 am. Were they left in the hallway to bark? We've brought our dogs here plenty of times and do our best to think of the other guests. Some people just don't show that same respect. That's not the hotel's fault, though, and we'll keep staying here first.

Breakfast was nicely presented and prepared on both days, and the maid service did a great job during our middle day. We were there for two nights while visiting family. The recently renovated hotel was in like-new shape, with exceptionally clean rooms and common areas. You can hear the hallway from around 7 AM, as others have mentioned. That actually worked out fine for getting up in time for breakfast. It was a relaxing stay and a great value.

We ended up spending several weeks at La Quinta because circumstances beyond our control extended our renovation. We were there over the holidays, and the staff made a real effort to help us feel comfortable and at home. They were friendly and professional, and we appreciated it. Crystal at the front desk is a treasure and a bright spot in the day. Cecelia, who coordinates the big hot breakfast each morning, is wonderful too.

The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've seen in a long time. The whole place was super clean, and the staff were friendly and professional. It's very dog friendly, with plenty of places to walk dogs next to the hotel. I was impressed with everything.
